Since his debut in 1999, Patrik Isaksson has been one of the country’s most popular artists with hit songs such as “Hos dig är jag underbar”, “Du får göra som du vill” and “Ruta 1″ – songs that are now repeated and stuck in a new generation.

“Mellan hopp och förtvivlan” is Patrik Isaksson’s first studio album in 12 years and the most personal thing he has done so far. A journey, a rollercoaster, a challenge where Isaksson approached the core of everything he conveyed since his debut in 1999. The album’s music moves between epic choruses and cautious pop melodies.

Isaksson has not been idle in the years since he released his latest album. Uncountable concerts, numerous collaborations with other artists like Marie Fredriksson, Joey Tempest, Anders Glenmark or Helene Sjöholmand, and a slight fear of how he’d find the right way into innovation have kept Isaksson too busy to work on a new album. 

“Between hope and despair”, the artist’s seventh album, will be released on May 12 and followed by a longer summer tour with Patrik and his band Nygatan.
